Oakmont is a residential neighborhood in the northern region of Coto de Caza, California. Residents enjoy spectacular views, and access to the great outdoors.
Oakmont is comprised of 92 single family homes that have four bedrooms and two to three bathrooms. The Camberley model is the smallest and a single level house with 2,415 square feet. The Tamaron floor plan has 3,075 square feet of living space.
Most neighborhoods in this city are served by the Capistrano Unified School District which offers facilities like Tijeras Creek Elementary School, Las Flores Middle School, and Tesoro High School, all of which have the highest ratings. There are several private schools nearby such as the Serra Catholic Schools and St. John’s Episcopal School. There are many colleges in this region including the highly rated Saddleback College.
The golf enthusiast will love this community with the Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club located to the west. It is the first 36-hole golf course in Orange County and features Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed golf courses. There are also ten racquet courts as well as pools at the aquatic center and a 44,000 square-foot clubhouse. The club’s fitness center has top of the line equipment, two large exercise rooms for classes, a youth center, locker rooms with saunas, and a lounge with café. A little further to the north lies the Dove Canyon Country Club, the county’s only private Jack Nicklaus Signature course.
This region is known for its many parks and wilderness trails. Oakmont is west of the Cleveland National Forest and north of the Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park. The Coto Sports Park offers sports fields and courts. It is locate on the corner of Coto de Caza Drive and Alta Drive. It also has picnic areas and barbeques.
